Gratefulness brings happiness.


 Happiness lies within us, it lies in our way of thinking.  How we view our self, and the world around us depends on our mindful choices and habits.  The lens we choose to view everything through determines how we feel about our self and everything that happens around us.
One of our mindful choices which keeps us happy is being grateful for what we are blessed with. Let's start thinking if we don't have what we are enjoying now, what will be our condition. It may be little difficult initially to look for the positive side of existence. However, if we consciously  make an attempt to perceive things in this manner, the day is not far when awareness will creep in our system and there will be a shift in the thinking, perception and attitude. I am sure you will agree with this school of thought and would love to bring about a change in your personality. Let's try practise being grateful from today itself.
There are chances when some of us may feel that there is hardly anything for which we should thank the universe. In case you  find it hard to be grateful for anything, sit down close your eyes and take a long slow breath and be grateful for oxygen.  Every breath you take is in sync with someone’s last. So be grateful for every breath. Be grateful for the sun and all bounties of nature -- breeze, rain, plants etc.
Next think about the source of your livelihood; there are many who don't get even their basic needs fulfilled. Thank Almighty for gifting you with all amenities, source of livelihood, family members and friends!! With this kind of awareness you will surely feel that you are a blessed soul ! Once you feel this way you will attract all positivism as what goes around comes around.
Attitude of gratitude is a sure shot step to happiness!!
