Eternal Voice

Rain drops falling pitter patter
Touching heart and soul with its sweet chatter

Bestowing blessings from above bright
Offering much needed respite

Spreading freshness with tinkling chime
Washing away the dirt and grime

Drowning all anguish of heat
That shrouded so long all the beat

Time to rejoice melodious voice; hark!
Song of cuckoo, nightingale or skylark

Refreshing gleaming leaves greens
Give hope to restless, parched teens

The seeds lying latent and dormant
Sprouting alive they become dominant

With no care for castes or creeds
Quenching thirst of the living beings

Bouncing back with its might
To change all for good over night

Making us yearn for another shine
Also teaching us not to whine

But remember how can we gain
Without the share of little pain

O dear rain you are such a power
'Cause of you only trees become bower!!
